In July, Learn to Read Comics had another successful event at the ALTURAS Apartments in Oxnard, CA. We were able to donate comic books, notebooks, pencils, and other school supplies for over 30 students just in time for going back to school.
During our presentation, we covered fun trivia, enforced basic grammar skills and even had an art event where students designed their own superhero. Afterwards, ALTURAS Apartments was gracious enough to put on a free BBQ event for the students, their families and the apartment complex at their community pool. Learn to Read Comics would like to thank our gracious hosts and look forward to putting on another successful event with them in the future.
